Although it may feel like summer in Karachi, the calender says mid-December, this must explain my sudden hankering for all things winter. I don’t know what says winter better than Spiced Apple Juice (except maybe snow).
The added bonus: it makes your home smell divine.
1 litre (quart) apple juice (without added sugar or flavors)
1 – 2 cinnamon sticks
Put all the ingredients into a pan on low heat and bring to a simmer (the spices are to taste, many of you would probably prefer to add more). Continue simmering, uncovered, on low heat for about 10 – 15 min. Strain into a thermos or teapot and sip from tea cups by the fireside, or by the palm tree. Enjoy… whatever the case may be.
